This was an exceptionally sweet little story.
What a clever little trick Philippa played on Viscount Darleigh. I loved it! However, I would have loved it even more if there was some kind of reconciliation between them.
At the end of the story there is a six week skip in the timeline. I know that this is supposed to be a short but I don't think it would have made it that much longer to at least show the the first meeting between Julian's mother and Philippa.
Putting that aside, despite this book's shortness it has some very memorable moments. One in particular is the waltz. It felt like I was the one floating in a cloud of love and excitement... just wonderful!
P.S. Reading the other reviews I feel the need to mention that there truly is no big conflict in this book so please don't go in expecting it. This story is innocent, lovely and uncomplicated. It left me with a smile on my face and a curiosity to get to know Viscount Darleigh better. Cleverly done by Mary Balogh since the next book in the series is about him.
